A native of New York, Lynn received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993. At RIT, Lynn was an active member in Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) collegiate design competitions participating in Mini-Baja, SolarRayce and Formula SAE. This is where he first learned the fundamentals of product development, leadership, fundraising, and entrepreneurship.

Lynn started his professional career in 1993 with Ford Motor Company working on early electric-vehicle concepts and motorsports programs in Formula 1, IndyCar and NASCAR. In 1998, Lynn moved to Mechanical Dynamics, a leading simulation software company, where he developed simulation tools and provided consulting services to race teams around the world.

In 1999, Lynn and partner Doug Louth took the entrepreneurial jump and formed Aletheon Technologies, which provided specialized engineering services to the motorsports, automotive, and defense industries with offices in Michigan and North Carolina. In 2002, Aletheon Technologies was purchased by long-time customer Pratt & Miller Engineering.

At Pratt & Miller, Lynn started as a race engineer on the successful Corvette Racing Team, then became technical director of the Cadillac SCAA World Challenge and Grand American Road Racing programs winning a total of 5 championships. In 2007, Lynn became Vice President of the Engineering Services business unit to lead the charge in creating a diversification strategy and sustainable business portfolio for Pratt & Miller. Receiving an MBA from the University of Michigan in 2010, Lynn focused on building the defense, mobility, and robotics business lines that resulted in 10x growth over the next 10 years. Lynn became the Chief Growth Officer in 2019 and in 2021 led the successful sale of Pratt Miller to Oshkosh Corporation, a multi-billion dollar vehicle and equipment manufacturer. At the time of the sale, Pratt Miller had a diversified portfolio of motorsports, defense, and mobility customers with 350 employees located in 5 facilities across Michigan and North Carolina.

As an active member in the South East Michigan angel investment community and three decades of building and running businesses, Lynn has learned the value of setting ambitious visions, surrounding oneself with uber-smart people, creating a culture of passion, excellence and fun, and most importantly…having mentors, coaches, and partners by your side to help navigate the inevitable challenges ahead. With that experience, Lynn is turning his focus to helping other entrepreneurs and companies achieve their vision and fulfil their ambitions.

Lynn lives in Oakland County, Michigan, with his wife and son. With a thirst for adventure, when he isn’t flying, sailing, riding off-road motorcycles or racing cars, Lynn enjoys traveling with his family and spending time pontificating around campfires with a Corona Light.
